The Wa Ni Ska Tan Alliance of Hydro Impacted Communities is hosting a conference to explore, reflect, and relate to various aspects and impacts of hydropower production and consumption regionally, nationally and internationally. The conference will be host to presentations, workshops, creative works, and papers that address and focus on various impacts and implications of hydropower and energy generation.
The conference will be held on original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation at the centrally located University of Winnipeg campus (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) from November 8-10, 2019.
